Frequently asked questions

The following are answers to commonly asked questions about our wine tours.

If anything mentioned is unclear, please don't hesitate to call or submit a form submission!

What wineries do we visit?

We work independently with many wineries throughout the Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties. Depending on the type of tour you choose, we will visit three top-rated wineries in your selected area. If you would like to select the wineries we visit please indicate your preferences during booking.

Should I book in advance?

To ensure that we have availability for your requested tour date, we do recommend booking at least one week in advance. Additionally, for large parties we recommend booking as far in advance as possible so we can make appropriate reservations with the wineries.

Can you pick us up?

We offer door-to-door service in the location of the adventure package you choose. For example, if you choose a Santa Barbara wine tour we will pick you up at the address you provide within Santa Barbara County. For Paso Robles wine tours we offer pickup throughout Santa Barbara County and San Luis Obispo County. Pickups/drop offs in other locations may incur an additional fee.

How long is my wine tour?

Tours typically last around six hours, and pickups begin around 10:30 AM at most lodging properties. You should expect to return to your lodging property between 4:00 PM and 4:30 PM.

How much wine is served at each winery?

Although every winery is different, most serve 5-7 single ounce pours. That's about 1 - 1.5 glasses at each winery so we'll remind you to stay hydrated at every turn. Still and sparkling water is available complimentary aboard the tour.

What if I don't want to taste with people I don't know?

We provide private tours for up to 13 guests.  We'll even customize the tour and go to specific wineries if you choose to do a private or group tasting. Please contact us directly for customized tour options.

What if I want to buy wine?

Buy away! We've got air-conditioned storage available, and we'll even transport the wine from the tasting room to the bus, and back to your lodging property for you free of charge.

What kind of vehicle do we taste in?

Our primary coach is a 14 passenger Ford Transit Turtle Top VT3 and features air-conditioning, panoramic windows, leather captains chairs, and USB ports for every passenger.

Can we customize our wine tour?

While we don't guarantee that your requested wineries are available for your tour, we will do our best to choose wineries that fit within your needs. Please contact us directly for customized tour options.

What's for lunch?

We partner with Central Coast Specialty Foods of Lompoc to offer you some of the best lunch options in the valley.  When you book your wine tour you will have the option to select the menu item of your choice. If you don’t see what you are looking for on the list of available options you are more than welcome to select a different item from Central Coast Specialty Foods regular menu; however, if you elect this option you will need to email or call us so we can ensure we purchase the correct item for you.

Central Coast Specialty Foods offers a variety of menu options to fit most dietary needs.  If you do not see an option that meets your dietary restrictions, please let us know so we can make special arrangements for you.

Can we visit additional wineries if time permits?

Sure! If time permits, we may be able to visit additional wineries; however, you would be responsible for the additional tasting fees.
